In Memoriam: Gay Currie Fox

Gay Fox

If you knew Gay at all, you knew that despite her diminutive size, she was a force of nature. And she died the way she lived: on her terms. She waited to shout her hosannas one last time, then passed peacefully on Palm Sunday, surrounded by her family.  Our life as a congregation will not be the same without her.

We hosted the celebration of Gay’s life on Friday, April 6th, at 5:30 p.m.  Please enjoy the audio version of the service by clicking the play button below:

Gay lived a truly extraordinary life, one that spanned more than ninety years and stretched literally around the world, from Black Mountain to China to Iran.  Throughout her life’s journey, she brought her faith and her commitment to justice and equality to bear in making a significant difference in every community where she lived.
