Donna Eagle Joslin was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri, moving to North Carolina to attend Warren Wilson College in 1976. Completing her degree in Fine Arts, she did graphic work in Asheville until moving to Raleigh where she worked, and became Art Director for Southeastern Screen Printing. She returned to the mountains in 1989 to manage Seven Sisters Gallery in Black Mountain, and continued there until 1996 when she left to start her own small landscape design business. Her business, Eldergardens focused on helping older gardeners continue their quest to grow beautiful spaces on their property, even when their bodies could no longer handle the hard work. In 2002 Donna was asked by Warren Wilson College to help create and run a unique Gallery/Shop in downtown Asheville called, The Warren Wilson Store. This unique shop ran until 2006, the year Donna was hired by Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church. She continues to work at the church as Church Administrator, Work Crew Supervisor and Facilities Manager. Donna and her husband Blake have two wonderful kids, Josh and Emma and live in a beautiful spot not far from the church.
