A Joyful, Welcoming, Inclusive Community of Faith

Welcome, Grace Boyer!

It is with great joy that we share the following announcement from our Associate in Ministry Search Committee:

Grace BoyerThe Search Committee for WWPC’s Associate in Ministry is pleased to announce that Grace Boyer has accepted our offer to join the pastoral staff at Warren Wilson Presbyterian.  Grace was the unanimous choice of the Search Committee, and the Session approved our recommendation on Tuesday night.

Grace Boyer has served as a Solo Pastor, Associate Pastor for Congregational Care, Campus Minister, and Associate Presbyter.  Her most recent call was as the Interim Pastor in a Hendersonville church where she preached, taught adult church school, did children’s sermons, and coordinated a confirmation class.  Grace has a Master’s degree from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education and a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary.  Her recent continuing education studies include programs on Christian Education, Spiritual Formation, immigration, and Caring for God’s Creation, just to mention a few.

We were impressed with Grace’s poise, maturity, and skills in nurturing.  She is enthusiastic about our Ministry Plan.  She understands our desire to grow, but also to nurture and retain and engage all members of the congregation.

An Elder from the Hendersonville church, where Grace was Interim, said, “Grace consistently demonstrated a warm, caring, and understanding Christian manner with our youth.  She took appropriate initiatives with them and she is loved by all our youth and adults.”

Grace grew up as the child of missionaries in South Korea.  Her undergraduate degree is from William and Mary.  Her husband, Marc Mullinax, is on the faculty at Mars Hill University, and her parents, Kenneth and Sylvia Boyer, live at Highland Farms.

Steve will introduce Grace informally to the congregation on Sunday, the 15th.  Her duties here will officially begin the next day.

We look forward to welcoming Grace to the life, study, and worship at Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church.
