Stewardship

At Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church, we believe that stewardship is about everything we do, with everything we have, after we say “I believe.”

Yes, stewardship is about keeping our doors open and our lights on.  And we depend on our members’ financial gifts and pledges of support to do that.  But it’s about other things, too, more important things, beyond paying our staff and our bills.

It’s about living sustainably in every aspect of our lives – caring for our bodies and our relationships, caring for the beautiful creation God has entrusted to us, and even, sometimes perhaps especially, caring for our neighbors around the corner or around the globe.

So, at WWPC, we approach stewardship as our duty and our joy.  Yes, we give of our time, talent and treasure because we want to support our own ministries and operations, but also because we want the work of Habitat for Humanity, Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry and our many other partners in ministry to flourish.

And that’s not all…  Beyond supporting more than fifteen local ministry partners, our giving supports health, education, refugee resettlement, and emergency relief projects around the world by way of special offerings of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Stewardship – It’s about everything we do, with everything we have, after we say “I believe.”  And every gift, of every size, matters.
