On October 7 the Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church Session voted to establish a Church Disaster Fund for Buncombe County to receive donations and disburse
emergency funds. This fund would be used to support members of the church, college, and wider Buncombe County community who are in immediate need of financial
assistance because of Hurricane Helene. Funds will be disbursed using a similar approach as the existing Pastor’s Discretionary Fund with amounts above a threshold of
$200 requiring Session concurrence.
