The Mission Study Team completed the Mission Study Report for our church a couple of weeks ago. The report was approved by our session and sent to the Commission on Ministry (COM) of the Presbytery of Western North Carolina and they also approved the report! It is an important accomplishment for the church. Team member Pat Levi remarked, “Many thanks to everyone, congregation and mission study team, for the diligent and thoughtful work. This report captures our story-past and present-and hopes for the future. A task well done!”
Now that the Mission Study Report has been approved by both the session and the COM, we can circulate it widely to you and to the community.
This Sunday, March 16, 2027, we will gather for a pizza lunch after worship and the Mission Study Team will present the report to you. We hope you will have read the report and come with observations, points of interest, questions for clarification, and any other feedback about the report you might have. Pastor Laurie will then review the process we will follow in searching for our next Pastor in the coming months. We hope everyone will join together (members and affiliates and guests) for this important gathering in the life of our congregation.
